20 Eighty is an international creative digital media agency that consists of 18 experienced media professionals and incorporates a vast network of international associates.
Why 20 Eighty?
After a considerable amount of time philosophising over the 80-20 rule, where it is widely regarded that 80% of one’s output is attributed to 20% of one’s input, we came to the conclusion that a 20-80 rule would be a more positive way of looking at things.
The 80-20 ratio can be applied to a vast number of situations e.g. in business 80% of a company’s turnover is created by 20% of its client base. Or more generally, 80% of the effects are created by 20% of the causes.
We feel that by placing the emphasis predominantly on the 20 (the source) as opposed to the 80 (the effect), the correct effect will in turn take care of itself. Therefore we like to focus on what creates the effect rather than the effect itself.
Instead of focusing on our turnover, we focus on our clients, the very thing that creates our turnover.
